SAFE RAKING TIPS YOU CAN USE TODAY posted 11/13/17
Hope you are having a great day and enjoying the Fall weather. I’ve been seeing a lot of people lately with yard work related back issues. So, here’s my biannual raking lecture. Well, more of a reminder than a lecture. When raking leaves try to avoid twisting your back. Try to pull towards you more than across your body. Switch hands frequently. Rake right handed for a while, then switch your grip and body position and go left handed for a while. As always, bend and lift with your legs, not your low back. AND wear gloves. I can always tell when people are raking by the telltale blisters on their thumbs.
Try to have fun out there. Give me a call / email me for a pre or post yard work appointment today.
