Hi everyone,
Is it hot enough for you? Don't you like when people ask that? Yes, it's plenty hot enough for me. The subject of drinking enough water came up yesterday with quite a few patients, so here's my quick reminder to stay hydrated.
We all know that severe dehydration can be life threatening, but recent studies are showing that even just a little dehydrated is tied to a range of subtle effects ranging from mood changes to muddled thinking. Having trouble concentrating, feeling irritated and or feeling tired? You could be dehydrated. Water requirements vary from person to person. Body weight, muscle mass, physical activity and heat exposure can increase the amount of fluid a person needs. The bottom line is to stay hydrated by drinking enough water throughout the day.
Have a great day, and ask for a FREE bottle of water at your next appointment.
